OUR STORY
4th Generation Family-Owned Business
The farm began in 1946 when Norman Meissner and wife Elaine were married and purchased the original 160 acres where Norm-E-Lane dairy is located today. Norman and Elaine began with 18 cows and a team of horses for the field work. Many years of hard work and growth has led to Norm-E-Lane today. The farm may look different, but the passion for the land, the cows, the people, and the industry remains.

Beside great people comes great opportunities!

Where We Are Today
Today, the dual-site dairy consists of 4000 milk cows and more than 3,000 head of dairy replacement heifers. Crops are raised on 7,000 acres of land, of which all forage and corn is grown. Cows are housed in open free-stall barns, and are milked 3 times each day in two 50 stall parallel parlors. Milk is shipped to Nasonville Dairy and Burnett Co-op where it is made into cheese. Along with family members Jerry, Josh, and Emmett, Norm-E-Lane is operated by 70 incredible employees who cover all areas including milking, cattle care and management, young-stock raising, cropping, equipment work, and maintenance. Norm-E-Lane continues to be a progressive dairy operation, focusing on the health, well-being and sustainability of our cattle, environment and people.
